Focus your Mind

If you struggle to relax, focus on an object instead of yourself and this can help you to relax.

Try it now wherever you are. Focus on your breath, placing attention on a tree branch swaying in the wind, on a coffee cup, or candle flame. This can really bring you into the moment and develops willpower.

Every time your mind wanders, which it may well do, bring it back to the object until you reach a place of calm.

Start off with doing this for 2 minutes and add on 30 seconds each day until you get up to 5 minutes.
