Mindfulness is about being present, in the here and now, being fully aware. For me, it’s about taking my mind away from distractions and focusing on something else, even if only for a few minutes.

Mindfulness is not complicated, but it does take practice. That practice should not be a chore, but something that you enjoy doing.

How often do you always take the same route, whether it’s the bus, a walk, drive, or the train?

Try a different route and make a note of all the new things you notice. If you can’t write them down at the time, make a note of them in a journal when you get home and do this as part of your evening reflection, and note how you feel.
