Decision Making

Think about a change or changes you want to make, but there are decisions that you have to make in order to make these decisions

Answer the following questions to help you clarify your thoughts about a decision you have to make:

1-What decision is it that you have to make?

2-What do you feel about about having to make the decision?

3-What is the time frame within which you feel you have to make the decision?

4-What consequences are there likely to be if you do not make the decision within that time frame?

5-Is there anything that is preventing you making the decision or making it particularly difficult for you, if so what?

6-List what you see as the possible Options in relation to the decision you have to make:

7-For each Option indicated in 6, make a list of the possible advantages of choosing that Option and any particular concerns you have about choosing that Option.

8-Are there any other people whose views would be useful to you in making the decision? If so, indicate who they are and how they might be helpful. (If you have already sought their views, please indicate the outcome.)

9-Is there any other information that you feel may be relevant to the decision which is not covered above? If so, specify below?

10-Once you feel you have reached a decision as to what to do, then consider what you are going to do to implement your decision and communicate it to whoever you feel should know about it. Also consider when you will do it and how you feel it is best to do it. List your chosen actions below:
